I think that overall as Dorothy the show went really well, the 4:30 show had a few problems such as set not working and lines issues but they were all sorted for the evening show ot still could have been better because nothing is ever perfect.
I think in the final performance that I really improved my characterisation from when we had started and that I could really connect as Dorothy, I still think I could have improved on this but I was really proud of myself.
Throughout the process of this show I think that we have all found characterisation the hardest as the characters were so very unlike our usual sleves however I feel that we all really pulled it off , I found ti really interesting the second night when I was off cast to see the prospective of the story from other characters points of view it made it fun and I gotto be in more chorus numbers.
I found that with a proper audience in we all upped our energy and performance levels making the show more dynamic for our audience and more enjoyable for ourselves. I always take how the show has gone from the audiences reaction and in the end a live performance is all about whether or not the audience enjoy it and react to the performances. As when we rehearsed the focus was on getting it right technically however with an audience we performed with more of an emotional level.
I really liked how the set and lighting added to the atmosphere within the performances whether it be them being red and representing danger or green for the emerald city it made the show more lively and appealing to the shows target audience as well as setting the mood for each scene for our characters.
Overall I think that my characterisation was my strongest point which to me is a shock as originally was my weak link, but I think my energy and coordination was good as well but I still think I could have improved in different areas.
