Gesture
First of all we did a small starting activity in threes in which we had to pair up the either physical skills and performance skills with the right meanings.
Once we had done that we started off recapping the original routine from Faultine. We then watched a contact section within faultline, once we did this we split off into groups of three to try out the first one which was a balance, i was with Bubu and Rosa, for this balance we stood in a line with Bubu in the middle then Bubu would then face me and give me her wrist whilst rosa would be holding her ankle, Bubu would then extend her leg so that rosa and i are balancing her out. Once everyone had got the hang of doing the balance we then watched another contact lift on the video before trying it out. For this one Bubu would do a small run up twards rosa and i before we would lift her,in this lift Bubu had her legs in a stag postion but with the back leg extended i had to hold around her waist and her extended leg and rosa supported her bent leg; whilst doing this Bubu pushed up on our shoulders to give her more height and so that her back as straight and she wasnt looking at the ground. After we had done the lift we then had to conquer turning Bubu whilst in the lift after a few goes we finally got the hang of it and turned perfectly in sync and position, from this lift we then learnt a small transiton in which as we put Bu down rosa continues to the ground Bubu then shows her authority and pushes rosa to the ground before kicking over my head as i bend down before doing a slicing motion with her hand this all links with the themes like pack mentality as it shows status and authority within the gangs.
Subsequently we then gathered as a class again and discussed different gestures like peace and particular handshakes coming up with as many as we knew. Following that we then split off into small groups and had to come up with our own gestures thst fit with the faultline themes. In my group there was five of us so we started off discussing our ideas before then using them to create our own. Overall our group did three different gestrures within our gesture motif two as a two and a three then the last one all together. We then performed out gestures motif to the other group and then did peer feedback.
www: working as a group to make sure that the moves were correct also working together to share ideas and create new gestures.
EBI: My personal ebi is that my strength is improved so i can perform the lifts with more ease and control, i could do this by doing regular excersizes to tone and strengthen my muscles.
