We took time to research Children's Theatre, the aims of it and peoples opinions. For example I looked at diverse opinions, as well as Specific Children Theatre companie's Artistic policies and peoples reviews of these, I found at least three of each thing so I had enough research to back up my answers to the questions in which we didnt know yet. I also researched the children's national curriculum for our target audience to also give me more sources, i found that a lot of the children's theatre companies advertise T.I.E, Theatre in education making it easier to argue for children's theatre if that was relevant to a question.
Once we had researched we found out our three questions:
- Name and discuss the most successful theatre companies currently producing work for younger audiences in the uk?
- How can we link our production to the national curriculum effectively?
- What are the key features of a theatre production that make it more suitable for younger audiences?
We had to then use our research to answer the first question i wrote about the theatre companies such as Polka theatre and Unicorn Theatre. I spoke how they were successful due to their wide demographic audience as well as their aims to educate as well as entertain their audience, using infotainment not only helps the kids but attracts teachers as well.
Self target: for the next questions work faster and write more, do this by focusing more.
