In this lesson we ran act 2 without scripts with prompts.
I found this quite frustrating as not everyone had learnt their lines by this point, I haven't learnt my perfectly but it wasn't very helpful just standing there whilst some people were prompted for every single line in their scene. However they eventually allowed their script as they didn't know it enough we then continued to rehearse I found this was helpful as it allowed us to learn our cues for our lines as well as when to do certain things in the blocking like the killing of evillene also helping Kim learn the music cues within our dialogue.
We hadn't yet ran through the whole of act two in one go so it was nice to do that as it really helped us process the whole story and order of the show. This made it easier for everything else to run smoothly.
I need to continue to learn my lines so that I am more confident with them and my cues and to go over the choreography of the monkey dance as well as the poppy dance I will do this by meeting up with other dancers in lunch breaks all week until next weeks lesson so that I have them under my belt and can focus on my lines and songs.
